I'm a sucker for a mocha!!! 🤩 I get many people ask me about nutrition and I'll be honest I'm no dietician or expert in nutrition but after many years trying every "fad diet" known to me and now being in the fitness industry, witnessing other people's nutrition journeys, I like to think I have some self educated knowledge plus a lot of it is common sense. You dont have to be a genius to know that the less calories we eat the more we shrinkand if we eat clean we get lean but for some of us it can be more complex than that, each individuals wants and needs are different.
I'm a proper foodie who gets pleasure out of indulging on the things I know aren't good for me but of course you can't do this too often; ideally 1 cheat meal a week, but life happens and occasionally it happens a few more times than it should . I'm a believer in the 80/20 rule, if you're on it, eating good nutritional clean foods, eating your veggies🥦, lean proteins, keeping hydrated, lots of water 2 to 3 litres a day, most of the time, then you should be on the right track on reaching your goals. You don't want to deprive yourself from the foods you enjoy forever or feel like you're constantly on a "diet" make it a lifestyle change, because you love your body, you want to feel better, that may be physically or mentally. I know if I eat too much refined sugar I feel sluggish and it effects my mood not just my jean size!
My routine includes some supplements, that being a high protein meal replacement shake in the morning, because it's easy and convenient for me, plus I really enjoy them, it's better than the sugary cereals I once used to eat every morning. This makes me feel like I've started my day well and keeps me on track for the rest of the day. I eat a healthy higher in protein snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon, with a healthy lunch and dinner, half my plate with veggies, a source of protein and if I eat Carbs, which I do, I eat complex carbs making sure I stick to wholegrains. I eat regular and don't feel hungry. Whilst doing all this I drink lots of water, I try to aim for 3 litres a day, it has so many benefits, weight loss being one of them
