It’s been a little quiet over here! 🙋🏼♀️ We’re in a season of transition...literally - hello fall/winter - and we’re moving in the next month or so. I actually love moving because I like having a new space, decorating, and getting literally everything I own nice and organized. 😆😆 #enneagram1
While I missed #monsteramonday, I still want to post Maya, my monstera! I rescued Maya from a big box store and while we’ve had an up and down relationship, I looooove this plant.
Generally speaking, this beauty requires bright indirect light and watering when the top 2” of the soil is dry. During winter, you can wait. Bit longer of watering, but just keep an eye on your plant as a whole. While you can water less, you still need to stay consistent to avoid trauma to the plant.
Also, caring for your plant includes gently wiping down her big, beautiful leaves! You can use a rag and water or a few drops of dish soap in water to clean. I like to sing while I’m wiping my plant leaves, since plants love music and have been shown to respond positively to conversation. 😄😄 Do you have a monstera?? Tell me below!!
