Timeslices and other fun!
One of the (many) reasons why I enjoy taking timelapses so much is because it allows so much creative freedom once you get to the video stage. From more complex edits like this timeslice, to dolly zooms (Vertigo effect), to a simple Ken Burns pan and zoom, each edit allows an opportunity to showcase these moments in a more dynamic way than a normal still photograph.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love landscape photography and the power and messages it can hold and portray. Just wanted to share a tidbit about my love for timelapsing.
1) timeslice timelapse where I layered cropped sequences (@emerictimelapse and @matjoez have great tutorials on these)
2) timeslice composition using LRTimelapse
3) blended shot where I took a timeslice blend from LRTimelapse of about 20 shots, then in Photoshop I took a good moon still and layered it on top with Lighten opacity mode.
