💚 No matter where LIFE has taken you - you were meant to go there!
Truly, believe me, we become better people & more empathetic people for experiencing hardship & moving beyond it.
This doesn't mean dwelling on it, or living with resentment - the typical "why me?" As much as our cells respond to dietary & other environmental assaults by creating inflammation, our body also responds to our negative thought patterns, creating inflammation.
If you are holding on to SH*T, your body WILL suffer. If you are angry towards someone (for a longtime i.e. resentment) they don't suffer - YOU DO!
How about YOUR self-talk? "I'm useless at that", "my body doesn't look how it should, or how I want it to". Firstly, if you say it often enough it WILL become the truth.
Secondly, it has a physical effect on your cells - this is a proven effect (true story!) Long term stress, even from negative self-talk will change your immune system response.
If you are thinking or talking negatively, how can you possibly expect your body to respond with WELLNESS?
Aahh…..that mind-body connection!
