Have you ever heard that vitamins are bad for you? I was just reading an article from John Hopkins Medicine that said “Calcium Supplements May Damage the Heart.” It caught my eye because I take a calcium supplement morning & night! It was really interesting because the article also mentioned that calcium rich diets can actually protect the heart. So what is it about supplements that are causing these problems?
A quick google search & you can find all sorts of synthetics that get added to supplements like petroleum, glyphosate, heavy metals, all sorts of stuff that has no business being in your body! 🙅🏼♀️ Taking an organic, whole food supplement is SO important!
But that wasn’t even the issue. The problem was that the Calcium wasn’t being properly distributed & absorbed so it would build up in the blood vessels as calcium-based plaque. What people don’t know is that concentrated amounts of Calcium also need Magnesium to evenly distribute & need Vitamin D for absorption.
So I was relieved when I finished the article because I had learned that years ago at a nutrition meeting which is what led me to take this one. It’s a 2:1 ratio of calcium to magnesium with 1,000 IU of Vitamin D3 for maximum absorption. 🙌🏻 Do your research, know your stuff & READ YOUR LABELS!
