This is the neon from the 2016 Electoral Commission EU referendum advert, the one I drag out now and then as I have an idea for using it, and then don’t do anything with it.
I’m not sure whether me posting this has any point, since it’s unlikely to reach anyone who isn’t already planning to vote or who hasn’t already decided to not bother for whatever reason they have. Telling them to do it won’t make much difference. But I’ll post it anyway.
I am voting Labour. I live in a pretty safe Tory seat. Damian Collins @damiancollins4mp is our local Tory MP. The man who has done some really good work on the DCMS committee re Facebook and Cambridge Analytica, yet also represents a party that (I believe) seems to peddle disinformation on social media (the “sources” re that NHS “fake news” fake news?!) and whose press office, CCHQ, briefly changed their twitter name to FactCheckUK recently...unbelievable and in plain sight. I do wonder how he reconciles these things. I wonder if that will go in front of the Committee?! (Btw I don’t know which neon bender this neon glass originally came from, it was gifted to me to use in an artwork). #voting #vote #neon #neonsign #neonlights #ukgeneralelection #ge #ukelection #toriesout #getborisout
