A cold recovery runch

If you couldn’t already tell, I have all sorts of warm and fuzzies about #running πŸ’•πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ’¨ But I hardly ever do the hard work I need to for races. I think I’ve only ever really trained for a race twice: once because I didn’t think I could run 26.2 miles (I did) and once because I didn’t think I could run a sub-25 min 5K (I did that too) 🌟 So for the first time ever I’m training for a #halfmarathon (I’ve run something like 10+ at this point, I think?) πŸ™ˆ Today was a #tempo workout, which I hate with a passion: 5x 1.2 mile progression repeats at 8:57, 8:49, 8:41, 8:34, 8:27 πŸ’© with 4 minute recoveries at 12:00 min pace for 8.5 miles total πŸ™ŒπŸΌ I magically survived and lumbered home to a delicious breakfast made by my love @stephen.born πŸ’‘πŸ₯β˜•οΈ (I pretty much want to eat all the things and get incoherent after hard runs - the struggle is real) πŸ’₯ #TBT #throwbackthursday #riseandgrind #morningrun
