Oh the miracle of life we hoped to prevent. Clementine was found already heavily pregnant along with her baby Minnie. Minnie was adopted by their rescuer but we didn’t have the heart to abort Clementine’s pregnancy so late. So here she is, a mother again to two all-black babies, a brown tabby, and a speckled tabby just like her (and Minnie).
“Wah, cats can get pregnant again so fast lah!”, you may ask. Yes, they really can. Clementine’s baby Minnie is not even 3 months old. In fact, Minnie can get pregnant in just another month, and Clementine can even have another litter before the end of the year. So do the math. Feed and care for more kittens or one-time spay/neuter for RM 120? To us, it’s a no-brainer!! Don’t be that sketchy backyard breeder because you think your cat is cute (I’m 100% sure she is, because all cats are adorable but that’s no excuse for more babies). Don’t refuse to spay/neuter because you think the surgery is cruel (it’s better than letting kittens be born then have up to 85% of them die on the streets). The cycle ends here!
With all that said, if you guys were going to be born, we are glad you were born in a safe, loved, indoor place. Welcome to the world, babies! We are going to find you the best homes ever!
