One year ago today, these two utterly-in-love sweethearts said “I do” in beautiful, sunny Marlborough. Claire & Paul first contacted me during the summer of 2017 and I’m now so blessed and fortunate to call them my dear friends and confidantes.
As some of you know, that was the summer I lost my mum... in the months following, I wasn’t sure I could carry on with my business; I didn’t want to let anyone down - my couples always deserve the best of me but as anyone who has experienced grief knows, some days are just about surviving and getting through to bedtime. Close to giving it all up, I will always remember Claire very kindly telling me to take as long as I needed, that she trusted me and would be there waiting for me if/when I wished to pick things up again. She showed no concern or panic that time was rushing by (their wedding day was a mere 5 months away), but that she wanted to work with me and would wait. It was this incredible kindness, generosity, compassion and understanding that pushed me to carry on; Claire & Paul’s support and belief in me and my business since has got me through some dark times. So as you can imagine, it was very poignant that it was their testimonial @twia_official read out as they announced I had won National Wedding Planner of the Year!
It was such a pleasure getting to know Claire & Paul’s friends and families, learning what makes them tick and helping them bring their beautiful vision and ideas to life. And soon, you’ll all be able to read about their magical day on @lovemydress! Claire and Paul are two of the kindest, sweetest, most interesting and hard-working people you will ever meet. They are soulmates, destined for each other and deserve all of the happiness, riches and good health. Happy first wedding anniversary to you both my darlings - here’s to a lifetime spent laughing, exploring, gin-drinking and enjoying the fruits of your labours! All my love, Kx
