Moving series part 2 🏡🏡
Found a house according to your priorities? ✔
Now start the audit.
How to and what to pack first depends on how much time you have to move out.
If you have a month or more that's really good and rare. (that's how much we had, because we were preparing to move out for a long time) 😉
In that case start the audit. That's how I have successfully got rid of so many unused things and now I have all things I know have a place in my house.
Keep the things you need and throw the things you don't need anymore.
Moving is one of the best time to declutter your home.
Start with your clothes, shoes, toys, books and other stuff. Don't forget the kitchen and unused or overused crockery and plastic k daaby. Be ruthless.
This phase of decluttering might take you a week or two if you have other things like job or kids to look after.
If you have less time, it can be done in a week or a couple if days. In the end ot all depends on you and your will to get rid of the unnecessary stuff before moving.
Once you are done with this step you will have a clear idea of how many boxes you need to pack all the stuff .
After decluttering, now start collecting boxes, cartons and bags that you will need for packing, along with tapes and cutters.
Now that you have a week or two left to pack all the stuff, you will have a clear idea and resources to start and nail the moving phase 3. That's packing.
Stay tuned for the third part. 😍
Qotd: What is the hardest thing for you to declutter and throw/donate?
Aotd: For me its 📚. I love my books and it's so hard for me to audit and minimise them.
