Robertson Wong BSc(Kin) DPT
Robertson earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustinein Florida, after he earned his Bachelors in #Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University(SFU). His Doctorate coursework focused on orthopaedic manual therapy techniques for the spine and extremities, including the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). He focused his postgraduate training in vestibular rehabilitation, and completed the Kinetacore Functional Dry Needling certification.
Robertson has worked in sports/orthopaedic #physiotherapy clinics and local hospitals treating in various inpatient settings. His clinical approach is based on patient’s medical history, thorough assessment and diagnosis. Robertson believes in a treatment approach that combines manual therapy, functional dry needling, therapeutic modalities, and physical exercises. Patients will be educated about the diagnosis, treatment plan and progress along the way. If needed, home exercise program may be given with an engaging and open communications to keep track of the progress to restore normal function for the vestibular system and help the patient regain balance. The ultimate goal is to correct the underlying problem, rather than treating just the symptoms.
Robertson has always had a passion for #sports and living an active lifestyle. He enjoys running, hiking, and playing volleyball, soccer. He also loves cooking for his wife and two children.
