Actually smashed my legs this whole week in my cardio exercises like leg day was Monday & im still sore so I’m surprised I still managed a 70 kg squat this morning hammies are probably the most in pain this week, stiff legged deadlifts are working a treat

So, with the help of @mooneymillions (he went above and beyond the call of duty) I knocked out the last really long run before @grandmasmarathon ... the stats shown here are a bit off. I primarily ran the first 17.5 and then walked an additional 3 or so. The stats between Runkeeper, Apple Health and Garmin were nowhere close to the same so it’s hard to tell. But it doesn’t really matter. ..
Even with the run/walk toward the end it’s my longest effort ever by 3+ miles. ..
I was able to remain hydrated and eat a variety of gels/foods without any issue. I was kinda worried about this because I’m a newbie. ..
Lastly, I did it. Wasn’t a great day to run, but with the help of a great running partner, I got through it. ..
And now the cons:
The heat index at 7 a.m. was near 90F and it just got hotter and hotter. I wish I had a consistent distance to record between the various devices used. Based on exertion, I’m claiming 21 miles. ..
All in all it was exciting to get a long run like that in. I’ve said multiple times today that I’ve never had so much fun being so miserable!
