Me and a few birders caught this sole white throated kingfisher going from one side of the canal to another, trying to catch small fish. Most of the time, it would return to a spot high on a tree. These photos of it were taken during the few times it would be low enough for my lens to reach. You really need these telephoto lenses or else it would get frightened and leave.
I did have shots of the bird with fish in the mouth but it was too small and far away in the photos, so I did not show them.
