I am hosting the very first Noble Earth River Jam on Sunday, December 10 at Noble Earth.
Having spent time in Bristol all my life, it's been wonderful to see Historic Mill Street return to its former glory through a commitment to old traditions and an acceptance of new ones. I'm happy that my pal Joe is using his gorgeous new space to bring back music to Mill Street. There's a lot of life out here on the river, and many songs to sing.
In addition to musicians of any kind (with an emphasis on acoustical instruments), I'd also like to invite poets and storytellers. For those of you who write, please share your original songs/prose/poems with us. I also encourage group jamming; I love the spontaneous moments that occur when a group of strangers suddenly become, simply, a group.
For our inaugural event, we will go strictly unplugged and make good use of Noble Earth's wonderful acoustics. We will do this monthly or weekly, depending on the amount of interest. Make sure to follow 'Greg McGarvey Music' and 'Noble Earth' for updates about follow-up sessions.
Sign-ups start at 7:00. I'll play until 7:30, and then it's time for the good stuff!

P.S. $1 off beverages for the duration of the music! Kombucha, tea, root beer, etc. Check with Noble Earth on Facebook/Instagram for the most up-to-date menu.
