Here is a bit of info no one seems to realize. In a time where everyone tends to need/expect/want things yesterday. On this #flexfriday I want to break down some simple math. I have been at this since I turned 14. I am 34 as of this month. I have been religiously pursuing this lifestyle. At times I couldn’t even tell you why. I just knew deep in my heart I couldn’t quit. In fact I am a horrible quitter. I suck at it. Once a vision is placed in my head I see it through. No matter what! The break down in just the gym alone is as follows: excluding all other training MMA- kickboxing- wrestling and BJJ
Minimum 1.5 hours a day (90 min)
Minimum 5 days a week (450 min)
20 years of never skipping (minus surgery’s ) 468,000 minutes training and counting.
So the next time you get discouraged , envious or bitter I want you to ask yourself. How bad do you really want it? How many birthdays, holidays and sacrifices are you willing to give up? Is this a hobby or is this a lifestyle? For those that grind and I mean grind. My hat is off to you. Because I do know the self doubt , the internal struggle the questions of insanity. You may do it for yourself. Maybe for a loved one or a deep seated cause. No matter your reasons- don’t explain them. Just do you- day by day inch by inch, willingness to do WHATEVER IT TAKES. I get it. They will laugh,talk,mumble and then watch.
