Anthony Davis has now met the super max criteria (All-NBA in 2 out of 3 seasons) and is eligible to sign the largest contract in NBA history next summer (2019). The extension projects to be worth $230 million with a cap hit in 2020-21 starting at $39.7 million.
Frank Jackson was a player out of Duke the Pelicans traded up for last year in the second round. He was the 31st pick in the draft. Many people projected Frank Jackson to be a first round pick if it wasnt for his injury. Frank Jackson was recovering from his foot injury before and after he was drafted and was close to returning for the start of the season, but he reggravated his foot again before the season and missed the entire season. He’s a 6’3 PG who averaged 10.9 PPG, 2.5 REB, and 1.7 AST while shooting 39.5% from 3 and 47.3 FG%. Jackson only played one year in college and is only 20 years old. His stats may not be as high as you would like, but the Duke team around him was stacked consisting of Grayson Allen, Luke Kennard, and Jayson Tatum.
Jackson won McDonald’s All-American Slam Dunk Champion in 2016, which shows that he is very atheltic. He also placed 2nd among rookies in the vertical at the draft combine. He needs to work on his point guard skills and passing. We will be able to watch Frank Jackson in Summer League. I think he can be a solid backup and hopefully develops into a starter during his career.
