Abandoned fishing village of Hamningberg is a kind of special place for me. It lies at the end of 40km long road from Vardø, at the northeastern Varanger Peninsula. Village is not inhabited all year round. Hamningberg is one of the few places in Finnmark, which were not burned down by Germans at the end of WW2. There is still some old pre-war buildings with turf roofs.
One cold, late summer night few years ago, I had a campfire near the jetty. Curious fox came near to seek some food, and maybe a bit of warmth of the fire.
Månen viste seg stor og lysande sist veke. Novembersol i Kågtindane. Ei slags "siste helsing" før mørketida og sola blir borte i to månader. Men i vår vakre natur kan vi oppleva masse flott lys i mørketida.
