Let’s have a little chat about the one word every spray tan artist dreads hearing the most... O R A N G E. 🍊
Let me start off by saying that if I was turning out orange tans, I wouldn’t have a business left to run! With that being said, there are a couple of reasons you may have experienced an “orangey” result from a tanning product in the past!
1️⃣ I pride myself on providing spray tans using only the highest quality products & ingredients that the industry has to offer. I personally test ALL solutions on my skin before ever offering them to a client. Using solutions with high quality DHA (the ingredient that provides your tan) will help to eliminate any unwanted colors! This is why you may have had a bad experience with store bought tanning products in the past!
2️⃣ I ALWAYS conduct thorough consultations with every client before tanning! This isn’t a one solution shop! I have TONS of solutions to choose from based on your natural skin tone & your desired result. Unfortunately for those of us who aren’t blessed with naturally sun-kissed skin, we might not be able to get a tan as deep as our friends! Luckily, there is a solution for everybody that will not provide brassy results!
3️⃣ Prep & Aftercare - Listen to my instructions ladies 👏🏼 A tan can only turn out as good as the canvas I have to work on! Be sure you’re thoroughly exfoliating & shaving 24 hours before your appointment. And when I provide your aftercare instructions, please don’t try and push them thinking you’ll end up darker! Leaving your solutions on past the recommended processing time never has a good result, and can turn you ORANGE. 🙅🏼♀️
If you’ve made it to the end of this chat, thanks for sticking around! If you’ve had a bad sunless tanning experience somewhere else before & are wanting to try again, feel free to send me a message so we can talk! There’s almost always an obvious reason for any issues you may have had! 🖤
