1. Raw greens aka rabbit food
A handful of salad leaves + broccoli sprouts + radish Sprouts
Non applicable Calories. I do not waste time counting plain fibrous greens, more important things, in my opinion.

Mix of roasted asparagus + aubergine + Tomatoes cooked in avocado oil

3. Fats
1/2 Avocado + 2 tbsp raw walnuts + 1 tbsp Extra Virgin single sourced Olive Oil

These are my basic foundations creating a nutrient dense colourful fibre containing low carb meal.
Change the protein source, swap the fats, add more carbs to your cooked veg. Do whatever floats your boat. Optimal goal here for me with these food choices is control blood sugar, eat foods which cause no inflammation, a variety of plants, eat good portion of protein, make sure I chew, eat in a relaxed state of mind & be grateful as F*** and celebrate Mother Nature. I made a salad for lunch. An actual legit salad with something green 😂 I feel like I’ve been slacking this week. I haven’t been trying as hard, I’ve been eating fewer veggies, and I feel like it’s going to show during weigh-in tomorrow. It’s okay, but I want to get back on track. This is no time to be getting lazy because I want to keep focused and stay losing through the holidays. But this salad was delicious and I didn’t feel sad at all about eating it 👌🏻

🎆 SNACK 🎆 🚨 HONESTY POST 🚨

I'm having a mental battle with Slimming World just now - I'm not confident enough to cut ties completely but am starting to feel restricted now that I am trying to maintain.
I'm also working my notice at my current job and start my new job at the start of December, and am having HUGE attacks of confidence and am questioning my abilities to do the new job.

So I am an emotional eater. When I am stressed, upset, anxious or just feeling 'uneasy', this is what happens 😔 And counting out enough of these to stay within my syns doesn't cut it. I eat until I am close to 🤮 which is where I am right now lol.
To be honest though, i dont actually feel guilty when I do this because these times are few and far between. And its better than other coping mechanisms I havd chosen in the past.

Some morning are quick weetbix mornings, some mornings I have some time to do a proper fun brekkie. .
After a lot of muscle aches & pains from driving too much recently, I needed an anti-inflammatory brekkie this morning. .
Anti-inflammatory Smoothie bowl recipe:
1) 1/4 frozen banana.
2) 1 tbsp of blueberries.
3) 1 tbsp of oats.
4) 1/2 cup of frozen spinach
5) 1/2 scoop of @awnprotein
6) 150ml of milk.
7) Toppings of your choice, ideally including chia seeds for omega-3 👍🏻

What’s the scariest thing you’ve done lately? .

Removing all my silly little food rules was by far one of the scariest things I’ve done in a LONG time.. you wouldn’t think telling yourself “ carbs are not the enemy” or “ you don’t have to silently count the macros/ calories/ or points” would be that big of a deal...

But it was.
.
.
Learning to eat intuitively was like riding a bike without training wheels.
I remember thinking "would I just sit and eat all the 'bad' foods all the time?" and what if I couldn't stop myself and I'd just keep eating and eating and eating until I was sick?
.
.
After all, that is how my relationship with food went for years..not because of intuitive eating, but because I was stuck in diet culture and had grown accustomed to restricting all week long and being good with the promise of a little food freedom on my designated cheat days. .
.

Cheat days were when I could let myself eat all the foods. I would totally let myself go. I wouldn't hold anything back and I'd stuff my face with ALL the foods because I knew it would be at least another 6 days before I could eat more than my designated calories or points. .
.
Want to know the craziest thing of all? .
.
RE-Learning how to eat intuitively has had the opposite effect. ..
I rarely over do it anymore. There are no more 'screw it days' or binge sessions. .
.
Just giving yourself the permission to eat without rules is a huge weight off your shoulders and you will likely find you DON’T actually even want all of the foods anymore. .

This squash and yogurt bowl was everything I never knew that I needed. Loaded it up with some @lees.provisions ghee and cinnamon infused butternut squash, pomegranate, and pumpkin seeds to feel extra festive 💚. Side note- pay attention to which spices you are grabbing though lol 😂. Because just this past week I went to reach for what I thought was cinnamon and ended up being chili powder. Luckily the smell gave it away after I used it and I managed to wipe it off and add cinnamon. It was actually a good reminder to try and not be on auto pilot and be a little more mindful. There are so many things demanding our attention all day every day, but where we put our focus matters as that is where energy flows.

In fact, consuming sugar (or some form of sugar) regularly will definitely keep that stubborn weight you want to lose on your body.
