💓Live your heritage, love your heritage
===============
As our indigenous communities outgrow our colonial forces the future is looking bright each and everyday. Reclaiming land after each and every generation. The Dakota Access pipeline showed the world that we are still here and we are not afraid to fight for what we want. The Native is the progenator of this civilization and it would not be possible for this nation to stand without the help of Natives and other minoirities. Privledges need to be checked. *******************************************************

One day denying our holocaust will be a crime! Our genocide is a 500+ year war! It is the world's most violent and longest holocaust in human history!

Nican Tlaca holocaust 1492 - ?

Legal definition of genocide
Genocide is defined in Article 2 of the Conventionon the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide(1948) as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and]
forcibly transferring children of the group to another group." “The destruction of the Indians of the Americas was, far and away, the most massive act of genocide in the history of the world. That is why, as one historian aptly has said, far from the heroic and romantic heraldry that customarily is used to symbolize the European settlement of the Americas, the emblem most congruent with reality would be a pyramid of skulls.”
― David E. Stannard, American Holocaust: Columbus and the Conquest of the New World

California Farmers still doing their job in the thick of smoke from the #wildfires because capitalism doesn't give a damn about your health, the quality of your food, the environment, or anything else for that matter as long as those running the show make a quick buck. Many of these #farmers are #immigrants trying to survive, many fleeing from nations the #US has had a hand in destroying their country's economies and political systems. ▪️#adayinthelifeofamexican

Who worked on the skyscrapers? The Native American ! Some believed they had no natural fear of heights. They did. But unlike their American workers, their culture meant they never showed it. 💪

Jose Vasconcelos used the word Aztec as derogatory description!

Did you know Jose Vasconcelos ONE of the fathers of the Mestizaje myth, essentially a Criollo government created identity, despised Emiliano Zapata? Not only did he hate Zapata he also despised other Mexican Revolutionaries. He saw Zapata as someone who was trying to bring back Mexico to the "primitivism of Montezuma". "the hidden doctrine of the schools of Zapata was the return of Mexico to the primitivism of Montezuma." Source: A Mexican Ulysses: An Autobiography by José Vasconcelos

He claimed Zapatistas were bringing back "aztec human sacrifice" with machine guns. "..Zapatistas worse than savages, "liquidating" lives with their machine guns, like their forbears in the old days with obsidian axes" Source: A Mexican Ulysses: An Autobiography by José Vasconcelos "The teocalli of human sacrifices is the only Aztec institution that survives. The followers of Zapata perfected it with machine guns and automatics.”Source: A Mexican Ulysses: An Autobiography by José Vasconcelos

Jose Vasconcelos went as far as calling Zapatistas an "Aztec Terror": "And the Zapatista group, regimented by the Aztec terror of the executions without previous trial (and by decision of the boss, who did not hesitate when it came to "breaking", even if it was his intimate friend), he had no other slogan than to add his vote to the vote of the villistas." Source: La Tormenta by Jose Vasconcelos

Jose Vansconcelos throughout this autobiography "A Mexican Ulysses" uses the term Aztec as a degoritory term. He associates the word Aztec with barbarism, being uncivilized, and blood-thirty violence. In his eyes an Aztec is a uncivilized beast. Essentially an Aztec (indigenous person) was a barbarian and a Spaniard (European) was a gentleman.

I am so proud of all of my sisters and brothers who made this historical day happen!
I have been participating in the protesting of this genocidal statue since 2012! My warrior family and friends all contributed to this day! Special shoutout to everyone involved in the policy changes that made this happen! Everyone’s participation matters! From the protesting to the legislative!
Tlazocamati!
(I was out of town this day and missed such an amazing moment in person but I am thrilled and grateful that many of my friends captured it!)
