Homemade Healthy Ginger Beer

- 140g fresh ginger
- 4 tablespoons Honey
- 3 Lemons or Limes
- 1 litre Soda Water
- A few sprigs fresh Mint

This week’s been crazy.

Full moon, filling in a couple days at @alchemyfacebar, beginning yoga teacher training, my hubs out of town, squeezing in other work + the yoga classes needed to fulfill my YTT requirements. I feel like a morning of solid sleep would do me well... but that will have to wait until another day.

the other day I went on a 6 mile hike with my boyfriend @elcapt4in and our puppy .
it was incredibly refreshing and made me wish I had done more hikes this summer ! but vanlife wasn’t the easiest with hikes bc not being able to shower after a hike is not my favorite feeling ..
It’s really nice to get exercise , I have not done muchexercise lately and I am feeling more inclined to join a gym right now and get back into that flow .
doing different types of exercise is so important for overall health and wellness .
I love to practice yoga , dance , and walk as my go-to exercise .

If you're experiencing pain from a visit to the gym, that ain't good. A little soreness is one thing, but pain is another thing entirely.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When you're physically active, your muscle tissues get broken down. This can (and likely will) lead to muscle soreness. THIS IS NORMAL. Different individuals experience varying levels of soreness, but THIS IS NORMAL. Some rest, nourishment, and hydration will likely provide your body with just what it needs to build itself back stronger.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Exercising past soreness and into pain, though, is what can cause problems. Pain could mean any number of things:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

For about a month now I have been eating yogurt (plant based) for breakfast .
Having a probiotic in my body first thing feels so good for my digestion and mood . Probiotics help create good gut bacteria which results in regular digestion and less cravings .
I love to add a banana , walnuts , hemp seeds , and cacao nibs !
Eating this way compared to when I would only have juice or smoothies in the morning is so much better for me .
My emotions and hormones feel balanced and I feel much more full .

This simple meal meets all those standards. My daughters had a blast spreading the sauce, sprinkling the cheese, and strategically placing their toppings.

It is simple and easy, plus delicious and nutritious! Many variations are possible, and it is an excellent way to offer all the food groups in a single meal.

Get creative! The more colorful and diverse the topping options, the more fun your kids may have with it.
