🥗🥑🥕🍅🧀🍗Massive bowl of goodness🍗🧀🍅🥕🥑🥗 I was craving a dirty filthy takeaway dinner, especially for a Friday night! But I knew my body was in much need of nourishment.

Bulgur wheat & quinoa, mixed with grated carrots, diced beetroot and baby plum tomatoes in a tahini dressing; served on a bed of spinach, topped with grilled chicken breasts, avocado, Parmesan shavings, pumpkin seeds, cashew nuts and sunflower seeds. All drizzled with a bit more tahini dressing, freshly squeezed lemon juice and balsamic glaze. (Tahini dressing: Tahini, water, grated garlic, lemon juice, honey, salt & pepper)

If u r toying with the idea of eating less wheat or reducing the amount of starch u eating then a good place wud b to start by finding a good bread replacement. Bread is probably the most commonly consumed food in most countries. It is one of my all time favourites and it was the hardest part for me to reduce / eliminate / replace wen i started eating clean. It was however the one thing i noticed quickly made a huge difference to my weight and also blood glucose levels. Over time, i have made many low carb, gluten-free breads but i am going to sing the praises of this ⬇️⬇️⬇️ one this morning.
This bread is my Seed & Nut Sandwhich Loaf. U will find this recipe and similar others in the appropriate photo album on the page. The recipes r similar but with slight variations in ingredients. This allows u to choose which taste u prefer and the ingredients u might have access to. Now this variation is a bit on the expensive side since it contains a combo of nuts and almond flour but there is also a nut and seed bread version that only uses coconut flour and an array of seeds. The recipe for that loaf has recently been shared in my linked article published in the Muslim Ink Magazine 😁 (http://www.muslimink.com/recipes/411-homemade-nut-and-seed-bread-recipe)

The nut and seed recipe is truly wonderful, so satisfying and so indulgent. U can play around with the nut choices as per your preferences or budget. U will find yourself eating less and feeling fuller for longer *yay* (which happens with most the low carb breads btw). Besides that, u will also gain a nutritional boost from the healthy fats and proteins in the ingredients.
So how about this weekend u pop on over to Food Lover's Market and go pick up just 100g of each seed and nut and try out one of the recipes. U wont regret it and u will surely become a believer 😁 Buying the nuts and seeds like this can b cheaper but also more expensive.

To inflammation!😋 I’m not one of the 3 million plus people who suffer from celiac disease. 🙏🏼
I do suffer with chronic pain and part of managing this is finding the best foods for me that are gut friendly and possess anti-inflammatory properties. 🍐🍊🍋🥝🍅🥑🥜🥒
I’m not just a vege-head, raw, no dressing and just say no to cookies gal. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Everyone’s interpretation of healthy is different, but I have found in my nutrition and fitness practice not everyone is educated on “healthy” & the misconceptions and assumptions are down right ridick. 🙄
