I’ve come to realize the common denominator of most of my daily stress is the felt experience of not having enough time. 🕰️ (I’ve somewhat talked about this before)

Summer is coming to an end, and recently there’s been “too much rain” and not enough sunshine and the window of time for good weather is running out. ⛈️ I worry about creating enough value with my time during the day. Too much time spent on the phone with parents. But then realizing that they are getting old and wanting to spend as much time as I can with them. 👵🏼👴🏽 Starting to feel the pressure of time and wanting kids. But then feeling like not enough time to do everything I want to do before having kids. 👫

I have done a lot of work in this area but I always have to continue to remind myself ➡️ The more I worry about time the more time is lost to worrying.

I have to remind myself ✨ Stay present and focused in that moment in time and there will be less space for worrying about time. Soak in the patches of sunshine. Soak in the rain (literally). Soak in the conversations. And when anxiety starts to rise, ask yourself “what are the payoffs for worrying about time?” ✨ I’m going to give that question a shot the next time I start to worry.

#FatFormationTuesday Fluffy AF! How I still have a smidgen of abs after the two week food binge of a vacation is extraordinary! Lol actually it’s not, because I wasn’t that awful (the first week lol). I’m not gonna sit here and lie and say I tracked macros (if you don’t input it into MyFitnessPal it doesn’t count! 😜). But I’ve been doing this long enough where my eyeball game is 💯....So I know when to say WHEN! And also when to say “Make that a double-double, animal style please! Thanks!” 🙃 Knowing your limits while still enjoying your vacation is key to not going overboard. I never understood clients who came to me and worked their asses off for 3 months, looked AMAZING before their vacation and then TOTALLY ruin it while they’re away...WHY? first off, you’re doing MAJOR damage to your metabolism, and second, YOU JUST WASTED MONTHSSSSS OF HARD WORK!!!! Let’s Be mindful people! Have SOME boundaries, know your limits...And make life easier for yourself when you come back into the real world....The motivation to lose the “vacation weight” is far greater when you don’t lose ALL of your gains....Nonetheless I digress...Time to lose these 10lbs I gained....Give me two weeks and It’ll be gone! When we are hungry we tend to reach for protein bars. HOWEVER, not every protein bar is the same. Some of them are just fancy candy bars. So next time you decide to eat a protein bar look for these key things
~
1.A protein bar is called a PROTEIN bar for a reason. It should have at least 10g of protein anything less than that should not even be considered a protein bar. On average protein bars range from 20-25g of protein.
~
2.Look at the carbs-protein ratio. If a bar has a higher amount of carbs than protein, then look for another one. Ideally, you want a protein bar that has less than 25g of carbs.
~
3.Protein bars are considered a snack. A bar that is higher than 200 calories is considered a meal replacement bar. So keep an eye out for that.
~
4.Lastly, look for sugar content ~ higher than 15g is a glorified candy bar. You might as well treat yourself and get a Snickers bar 😅
~
Protein bars are tasty, but you don’t want them to make up your entire diet but supplement it. So do your best to eat whole foods, but a protein here and there won’t kill you😌
