S u p p o r t c r e w // This week we're thinking about how to reserve a little bit of energy for our partners or the people in our lives that helps us out. We often find that in the day to day of managing little ones and work and family and friends we forget the person that is constantly there for us and always by our side. So firstly, let's hear it for the partners/friends/family members that support us on the journey through parenthood! Secondly, here's some things we've been trying to make sure they know they are loved and that connection is always strong... 1) It's the little things - remembering to go the extra mile in any small way that we can, in our house my husband always does the bins and the dog food - but occasionally I'll do them so that he comes home and gets a nice surprise ! And he knows that bringing home a chocolate treat of anykind will always put a smile on my dial and let me know that he's thought of me.
2) Swapping sleep ins - let's face it, real sleep ins are a thing of the past once you have kids, but we take turns getting up with our little boy on the weekends so that one of us can sleep in till at least 7.30am!
3) We're on a budget so getting a babysitter and going out for dinners is not ideal but we love having people over and try our best to organise a dinner or brunch at least once every 6 weeks so that we can get some adult time in, catch up with friends and enjoy some yummy food. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What are your tips for finding time for that special someone in your life?
Love, Essie & Lou xoxo
