Another animal I happened to come across at Stinchcomb last weekend. I kept seeing large groups of deer in the distance, so I slowly crept my way over towards the trail they had been walking. I finally got close enough to snap this shot. I love how this deer centered and framed itself in all these trees for me.
I came across this little turtle bunny the other day. It's still strange to me how cute Armadillos are up close, haha. I guess it's because most time you see one in the woods they have their faces buried in the ground rooting.
Ah, that Oklahoma City skyline. This was an exceedingly difficult shot to pull off. The signature Oklahoma wind was most certainly rushing down the street on this night, making even a solid tripod a bit shaky.
#PorcinePonderings --------- Up until this moment he was convinced that the big hulking thing in the weeds ahead was his mom. Upon advancing confidently in that direction, he suddenly realized his error. For a moment, time stood still for both of us, as he contemplated a new course of action, and I considered the fact that his mom was somewhere behind me. If ever I was going to be attacked and killed by a wild hog - it would be NOW! The Fates, however, were in both our favor, as he and I quickly turned and went on our respective ways without mishap. We'll meet again tiny hog.
Sometimes a cool looking building presents itself in a completely different light after dark. If you've never given yourself the pleasure of shooting after dark, load up that tripod, plan a night out, and give it a shot! It's totally unique and fun.
Light beams and Fuji dreams. This is a super lucky lens flare/sun beam shot I got during golden hour in the woods several months back. This is one of the best Golden hours I've ever had in Oklahoma with a camera in hand.
Adventures in #fieldwork in eastern #Oklahoma.
I would really have rather seen this before I went through that gate.....
I just hoped he asked questions before he shot and went on about my business. I had a key to the gate and he'd got a letter that I was coming. Working on private lands is a little different.
#YouCantMakeThisStuffUp #IveSeenItAll ----------
Just about the time you think you've seen it all....
My neighbors #calves...playing in a #rowboat....during an #icestorm - 2007.
Believe it or not, this is not the strangest thing I've seen in the neighborhood - I just forgot to take pictures of the rest.
I've failed miserably on coming up with a caption for this photo. Perhaps one of you scholars could be of assistance.
As fun as it has been photographing the city, I really need to take a weekend soon to head back into nature. I've got some stresses I could certainly relieve with a walk in the country. How about you guys? What is your best place or activity for relaxing?
Ektar at Night. So much unplanned stuff in this photo that makes it cool. I just wanted to get a shot with some lit up signage in it. I ended up with light trails, ghost reflections of myself, ghost people walking down the sidewalk, and even more.
Ektar at night! I've been wanting to try this for a long time and @jjbearphotography and I finally had a chance to make it happen. This is the infamous Skirvin Hotel in OKC. It's said to be Haunted, and besides that, it's a beautiful bit of architecture.
