Charity powerlifting comp in Canberra yesterday. #banmenowPA #mightbetimetoresignfromPA #PAactuallywouldbanmestraightafter Repping my @dbsbarbell shirt . I've trained avg 3x a week since Oct 17 comp leading up to this and only did proper stuff for 2-3 weeks
I think this is a high bar, sleeveless PB lol.
My warm ups were crap, fell forward on 135kg and almost failed it. Surprisingly 157.5 looked good, felt shit though.
145kg was highest I've squat since Oct 17.
Pretty normal, this might be a semi wide grip PB. 105kg was about right
Most I've benched since Oct 17 was 95kg
Warm ups felt shit and so did my opener. Very surprised I managed 200kg. Should have went for 207.5 for all time pb ha.
Most I've deadlifted since Oct 17 was 160kg and since Oct 16 was 180kg.
Total: 462.5kg, bw 58.5kg, Globberners points 395, wilks 403. Only 32.5kg off my all time total and about 40 wilks points.
Overall: won the comp on globs points (they discounted a SHW guy who had like 450). Won a 60 minute float tank in Canberra, which I obviously can't use ...
Glad I still haven't fallen below 400 wilks.
Also, if this was a gpc comp, I broke the squat, deadlift and total record and 3kg off bench . If this was IPF worlds, I came last by 2.5kg in 59 class and 95kg from first.
If 53kg class, I came second.
Great fun, originally was just going to coach @wicksy101 and support @menslinkcanberra. Thought I may as well try coaching and lifting at the same time.
Now onwards to Olympic Lifting for as long as possible :). Glad I haven't continued to lose strength since trying oly lifting
