THIS is why I make my own health and fitness a priority. They are ALWAYS watching and learning. Sheโ€™s already modeling my moves and she canโ€™t even walk by herself yet. ๐Ÿ˜

And I want her to know that working out doesnโ€™t have to be a chore. It can be fun, playful, and rewarding to do something healthy for ourselves. We workout because we love our bodies and want to treat them right, not because we hate them or are punishing them for eating poorly.

This is what I hope to pass along to our family. This is why I workout โ€œwithโ€ her!๐Ÿ’—

This morning's 8.5km interval run felt so weird without my little man and I really missed him but it certainly was heaps faster!! ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Š My #garminfenix5s thought so too, with my 5km / 10km / half marathon and marathon 'race predictor' times all reduced... I'd been wondering how much my watch fitness stats were influenced by lugging my #babyboy and my cheeky #beaglier Mishy every run for the past year... Still had my precious four legged girl this morning though along with #runningbuddies @invigor8 @ischlberg , my superstar neice and another three #furbabies ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ And everything will be back to normal for tomorrow's run ๐Ÿ˜

As moms, our day is like a moving puzzle. Whether we work outside the home, at home, or are takin care of kiddos as our full time job, thereโ€™s always so much to schedule!
.
Whenโ€™s nap time, when do they need to eat, when do I need to eat, is it bath day, when can we do errands, WHY is it not bedtime yet?
.
It always seems like weโ€™re having to wait, schedule, find time for this, and squeeze in that.
.
This morning, I almost waited until she was down for a nap to press play on my workout. I didnโ€™t think sheโ€™d make it through 30 minutes, so I almost just waited 10-15 and killed time before I got started.
.
But Iโ€™m so glad I didnโ€™t because she lasted the whole workout! So sometimes, you just have to start! It doesnโ€™t need to be perfectly scheduled around your day, because who โ€œfinds timeโ€ for a workout. No one! ๐Ÿ™‰
.
You just have to get started to get it DONE! Thatโ€™s the easiest and best way to ensure that you donโ€™t talk yourself out of it!
.
You deserve 30 minutes to work on YOU! So get that Mom hustle on, and sweat with your kiddo playing around you! ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Best way to cook chicken: pan fried in coconut or olive oil with fresh lemon, Italian seasoning and garlic. Topped over fresh salad with a side of sweet potato fries. Add a pinch of cinnamon to potatoes for a treat ๐Ÿ‘Œ

How often do you get new tennies?! I think youโ€™re supposed to get new ones every 6 months, assuming you use them daily - and I do! But only inside and typically just for 30-45 minutes, so I sometimes stretch it to a year before I get new ones.
.
I really loved the shoes I used this past year - Nike Focus Flyknit Training. This year Iโ€™m trying Hoka Hupanas. Both are super light and flexible; perfect for at-home training workouts! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ
.
Fitness related anything is such a good thing to ask for for Christmas! A lot of my brand new challengers are even asking for my On-Demand workouts and daily superfoods! Itโ€™s the gift that keeps on giving because you use it DAILY! 365 ๐ŸŽ

Two things. 1. Didnโ€™t have a sitter long enough today to get a workout in after work. 2. I was starting to feel super anxious. SO-I decided to get an in home workout in after nugget went down for the night. Results=feeling MUCH better. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ (My neck is still not at ๐Ÿ’ฏ but itโ€™s slowly getting there-still unable to do any upper body work๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜ฉ)

Toys everywhere this morning. Long to-do lists. Crazy toddler. This Monday has been hectic. But that doesn't mean my meals have to be. โ€ข
That delicious looking salad literally took me about 1 minute to put together. Rotisserie chicken, Kale Salad blend from Sam's Club, and this time added some avocado! Sure it's not organic, but it was still delicious and very nutritious! Best of all, it's going to give me energy for the day, and not slow me down like running through a drive-thru would! โ€ข
Healthy eating doesn't have to be expensive or complicated!

But I did it! So THANK YOU, dear midwife from the maternity unit at #crosshousehospital for being kind and patient, helping and encouraging me, making me feel safe, and going above and beyond for my needs.

Oh, and thanks to my birth partner as well (aka the dad), for constantly squeezing my hand and telling me "you can do it", despite the fact that I was annoyingly shouting "I can't do this๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ"

I love love love a long workout, but unless I'm training for a race I try keep my weekend workouts short so they don't take away from too much family time. The boys are putting up Christmas decorations and #babycrew is napping so I snuck out to sweat off all the fun we had in #napa yesterday ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป 25 reps of each move for 4 rounds gives you a 100 rep workout! Beat my time of 17:07!

Wishing my two little monkies the happiest of happy birthdays!!! ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‚ One year ago today I went into labour while walking Mishy and having coffee with my friends (in photos) although thought it was just uncomfortable braxton hicks... ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿคฐ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธโ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ถ 12 months on and we're in the same spot but running 11km and much easier with Rowan out than in!! My precious #beaglier Mishy meanwhile turned 6 two days ago.
