101 days until “I do”.
(He usually is showing his infectious smile but I’m liking the bearded smolder) Clark’s story to health:
In 2016 while on a power walk with his dad, he realized he could hardly keep up. Something had to change...
Naturally he consumed the standard American diet and weighed in at 195 lbs. Completely out of shape, at 27, he decided to set a goal for himself. He would do the same 2 mile loop for 21 days and try to build up to a run. After making this goal he watched the film ‘Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead’ by @joethejuicer on @netflix and decided to try to drink juice before his run every morning. He stopped in the local juice bar @ardensgarden feeling completely lost as to where to begin. He never had a juice or smoothie in his life. EVER. He bought 5 for the week. Holding his nose and chugging this unfamiliar flavor, by day four it was the first time he actually felt the connection between food is fuel. “I felt like drugs were running through my veins”. Eventually he was running the entire loop multiple times over. He started listening to the Juicing Radio Podcast on his runs and began juicing at home every morning. After he accomplished his 21 day goal he continued to run and eventually completed his first 10k and then a half marathon. Four months later he was down 45 pounds. Along with the change in exercise and juicing he wanted to change what he was eating the rest of the day since the juice made such a difference. 6 months later he began a 30 day yoga challenge to take a break from running and ended up going 85 days straight. He soon adapted to a plant based diet at the beginning of 2017 and became a yoga teacher soon after. Clark is extremely passionate about his lifestyle because of the results. If he can do it, so can you.
I love his mind and determination. It’s been a privilege to watch his transformation. The first step was opening his mind.
