I’m really embracing my fasting this time round, we’re only a couple of weeks in and along with me going gluten free as well I’m already feeling the benefits massively

My water intake has improved massively, I’m not drinking all sorts of shit to fill calories when I can’t be bothered to think about food, by the end of my eating window every day I’m full and satisfied, whole foods are absolute key and I’ve stopped eating foods that don’t fill me but are massively calorific! I’m eating more food now on my high carb days and so far I’m 7.4lbs ⬇️in three weeks. I’ll take that for a win because so far this year my weight has been all over the place, but I’m now excited to see what I can uncover in a few more weeks and see if I’ve built any muscle in the last year at all πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ’ͺ🏻

Day 837: Holy shoulder burn! As I’m warming up I make up my routines. I thought today was going to be somewhat easy, but no! Day 836: I started with a 1.5 mile run. I’ve been doing back extensions almost every workout to combat my lower back problem areas. I did the leg press machine and the max I could do was 330. I then did 4-6 x 10 of the exercises demonstrated. Day 835: Omg! Talk about death by cardio! I started with 21+ minutes on the stairclimber (100 floors). The first 10 minutes was at an 11, then I dropped down to 6 to do side steps and kickbacks for the next 10. I was so close to 100 floors, so I cranked it up to 12 and finished out. I got the treadmill workout idea from my coworker. With the treadmill at an 8% incline, I did 11 rounds of: 15 second sprints w/ 5 burpees. The rest period was supposed to be 45 seconds, but I added burpees, so I rested for 1:45. Soo.. obviously my IG was super fitness related for as long as I've had it. The last year was rough with my personal life so I did some drastic things and with that being said I haven't been to the gym in like nine months. Did not follow a diet for equally as long. Work 65+ hours a week and focus on being actually better (πŸ˜‰). I still read, watch, study nutrition and programming almost daily. That passion never left, just needed to focus more on myself internally rather than aesthetically.

Two weeks of dieting here, not weighing food, loosely AF counting macros with my Samsung health app, and also indulging in red wine almost daily πŸ˜‚. While I'll be back in the gym by end of May this goes to show you that YES you WILL lose mass if you take this long off, but tbh this is a PRIME starting place and I'm blessed my muscles love me enough to hang on 50%πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ and this shows the years of consistent hard work I did give to weights didnt just vanish over night.

Day 830: So, my friend has been doing the stairclimber and is able to climb 180 floors in 30 minutes. Being the competitor I am, I decided to try his challenge! I was only able to climb 163 in 30 minutes 😩. It took me 32:54 to reach 180. My speed was 10-12 the whole time. I almost died!!! Afterwards I did 30 minutes of abs. Day 828: I started out with sprints on the treadmill. Each minute I alternated speeds 2 & 10 for a total of 10 minutes. I jogged a cool down lap afterwards. Then I slowed it down and did the other moves. For the first time in a long time, I liked what I saw in the mirror without a shirt on. After #FastedCardio yesterday I decided to snap the "after" picture and noticed that by staying consistent for the last week or so on the #KetogenicDiet (I've been YOLOing for weeks πŸ™Š) and doing more cardio, my body is starting to do what I want it to do. I’m trying to lead a gluten free life as a trial as best I can, so it’s essential I don’t get bored and limit myself to boring food because EVERYTHING has gluten in it!! (😩) It’s low carb day which means lower calorie day for me today, so I’m working on packing as much food in as I can, this slim pasta with some protein cheese for flavour and chicken is a god send!! 282 calories all in for a very filling meal! ☺️
