I am frazzled when the calendar is busy, yet feel lacking when it isn’t.
Every season has a purpose ordained by God as part of my journey, and I am reminded that “All my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began.” (Ps. 139:16) Each day is both necessary and important to prepare me for the next, like a puzzle whose pieces interlock in perfect harmony.
Father, help me to be thankful for the busy, and remind me that they are divine appointments from you. Quiet my heart when I feel overwhelmed, and enable me to see those around me as people placed on my path for a purpose. Give me gratitude for the quiet, as it offers a time to reflect and to breathe. Give me the courage to step into what you ask of me in those moments, and not to run away in fear. Let my soul find rest and refreshment, and allow me to hear your voice.
So I learn to lean deep, and trust that He knows my days.
