🍖Thank you for posting this important message. @drmarkhyman. I've been teaching this for a long time. If the animal is gobbling up antibiotics and genetically engineered food, so are you. If you buy organic meats you avoid this entirely. They also have humane animal welfare guidelines, which are more important to me, personally, than the feed. We are accustomed to inexpensive meat in this country. Meat should not be inexpensive, and it has come at a dire cost to our environment, to the animals, to the farmers, and to our health. Is also makes organic meats seem expensive, when it's really where it should be priced. Organic farming is more costly, and becoming USDA organic certified is an expensive and lengthy process. BUT there are ways to save money 💰 First, I would say try to eat less meat. Second, companies like @waldenlocalmeat @butcher_box deliver organic meats to your door at a reduced cost. Third, buy on sale and freeze. Fourth, learn to cook lesser expensive cuts to save money, like roasts, rounds, whole chickens, use the bones to make broths, waste nothing!
You can start with a small but effective goal -like switching to all organic chicken. There are many ways to start the process! -----------------------------
