In honor of one of the biggest entertaining days of the year we wanted to share entertaining advice from @carolyneroehm and @archdigest. In the article "What Oscar de la Renta And Bill Blass Taught Me", Carolyne Roehm, Architectural Digest‘s special projects editor, speaks of the entertaining advice she received from two special mentors in her life, Oscar de la Renta and Bill Blass. “This particular (place) setting also echoes my love of the great Dutch flower paintings of the 17th century, with their rich shades and the romantic groupings of flowers and fruits. Roses, hypericum berries, and ripe peaches echo the tones in my favorite Greek dishes, as do the red candles; white Anichini napkins pick up a detail in the china. With this setting I served cream of red and yellow pepper soup, which enhances the color story and happens to be delicious, too.” Anichini is honored to have been one of her choices for the table.
