How is Canada doing? A very thoughtful question asked by @nanookhundsson 🧡
Canada is doing good, she us turning 10 years this fall and it feels like she has landed in her retirement. She still lives in the dogpeen together with her children Trym and Primrose, this is by her own choice. She has a very deep and profound relationship to them and especially Trym and her are very close.
I am hoping she will want to move inside the house when winter arrives, I would really love to have her so close by ❤ But you don't force this lady to anything, she calls the shots 😘
Leya, her daughter (Tryms sister) lives inside our house so hopefully she eventually will fill Canada's need of canine family nearby.
I have never met a dog with so strong connection to family. And it is not in a needy or anxious way, it's just who she is. She knows her children inside and out and has been and still is an amazing guide for them. It's like its her life mission to raise, care for, educate and support her kids. What she puts into them is something we will have great joy of for many many years after she is gone. She has taught them an amazing way of approaching life, something that has positive effects in the pack on so many levels I can't even imagine. She has set the standard and culture by my whole team lives by ❤
How do you thank a dog for that great gift? Well, at least she is allowed to live in the dogpen as long as she wishes - even if I rather have her closer to me ❤
