I’m feeling a satisfied kind of tired right now. The kind of tired that comes when you worked so hard that your body feels like mush yet at the exact same time your thoughts have become clear. This only ever happens to me in nature. It’s completely blissful.
Whenever I experience this I swear that I’m going to spend more time outside, but inevitably the busyness of life sets in and I go long stretches before I make the time for it again.
I’ve hiked 20+ miles in the last 2.5 days. Hauled heavy supplies. Cooked over a campfire. And at the end of each day rolled out my sleeping bag and looked up at the Big Dipper more relaxed then I’ve been in ages.
I know you’re busy- but if you haven’t spent some time outside away from the distractions of daily life doing something that gets your blood pumping, you’re missing out on one of the best parts of life. The trees & the sun & the breeze can reenergize you. Make time for it & you won’t regret it. Oh- and please take me with you:)
