This little pad see euw comprises of a 6 hour braised piece of chuck steak, but some pan fried firm tofu would be a dope lil substitute. Alternatively, if you don’t want to braise anything for 6 hours cuz that last game of fortnite isn’t gonna win itself, just grill a lil steak or chicken. And it’s a great little ‘10 min of prep I’m over it and can’t be fucked cooking it’s the middle of the week and I’ve already had Uber eats twice this week fuck I have no self control GOD DAMMIT IM GOING BACK TO GYM NEXT WEEK I PAY FOR IT AND NEVER USE IT...’ I mean...ahem. Rock out with your wok out and get it on a heat about as high as snoop dogg on an average Tuesday, add some veg oil and seal your meat or tofu. Add kecap manis (Indonesian sweet soy), oyster sauce, and some sugar, 2 table spoons each, and some soaked rice noodles (the pho ones brah). Let the sauce reduce and the noodles absorb them, then shuffle it to the side like a packed bar and stir fry an egg next to the noodles. Add some ground white pepper, chopped ginger, and some blanched Chinese brocolli and toss that wok like your most hated sibling. Garnish with fried shallots (buy them, it’s a ball ache to make, trust bossy), and plenty of coriander.
