There's nothing quite like new kit day! I'm extremely proud to represent Southern Velo, the fastest growing club in the southeastern United States. I'm also beyond thankful to our long list of generous sponsors. It's hard to believe that Southern Velo was started just a few weeks ago and now counts with upwards of 150 members! The club's emphasis on the social aspect of riding first and racing second, is by far it's greatest strength. After all, we don't make a living riding our bikes and at the end of the day, we all do this to have fun.

Wooooosh. Nice memory. My first triathlon season on a TT bike. Those days were very euphoric. It’s amazing how triathlon could change a person. Just a year before I was a typical gym guy lifting heavy metal instead of doing any endurance sports. • But triathlon seems to be very infectious. If you once cross the finish line you wanna do it again and again. And you wanna improve for sure. • That’s the point when triathlon changed my life. The point when I started being sort of a nerd talking about #swimbikerun all day... 😉 • My ambitions have cooled down a bit, but I‘m still burning for triathlon - nowadays more as a coach than an athlete. Finally got everything put together and got the second #wahookickr so we can train at the same time. Kind of a pain to get all of the apps and everything to work together! Still, waiting for some sun so I can go outside and ride!

Today is going to be the longest and most tedious 100km bike ride I've ever done in my life! I blame my woe-is-me attitude on: 1) the relentless rain; 2) the relentless headwind; and 3) NZ NOTHINGNESS. How can there not be a single shop or cafe or petrol station or shelter (or a @marmottours van 😜) for 80km stretches?!?! 🤣🤣 In the warm now. Will plod along to our destination soon (another campsite yippee). Thankfully the "sun" sets at 9pm here. Grabbed a partner + competed in the Couples Conquer to support @orphanaidliberia with hope to deliver meals to children + families of Liberia. • This was seriously a blast + I learned so much about my threshold. My goal this year is to step out side of my comfort zone in all areas of life + one of those areas is competing in local CrossFit competitions 😉 when’s the next one?! • & thankful @crossfitthor came to watch, even though he was a sick puppy 🐶

Back to business as usual 🚴♂️💥 3 entraînements de vélo en 3 jours pour se remettre dans le rythme en fin de semaine ! 💪🏻 Sensations inverses de ce qu’on pourrait imaginer malgré que ce soit des entrainements assez équivalent en terme de difficulté ! 😅 1️⃣ Horrible, dans le dur tout le long 😵 2️⃣ Pas parfait mais beaucoup mieux 😀 3️⃣ Retour de bonnes sensations 🤩 Parfois être trop reposé n’est pas efficace on dirait ! 🤗 Je ne sais pas vous mais je fonctionne bien mieux avec « un peu de fatigue » qu’avec « trop de repos » 😉
