Her Royal Highness... In the heart of Wascana Park in the middle of Regina Saskatchewan stands a magnificent statue in honour of HRH Queen Elizabeth II and her favorite horse Burmese.
In 1969 the Royal Canadian Mounted Police gave Queen Elizabeth II a Saskatchewan born black mare named Burmese, which she rode for The Trooping of Colour in 18 consecutive birthday parades.
Queen Elizabeth personally unveiled the statue in 2005. It is located in the QEII Gardens in front of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building.
In the fenced garden around the statue is the beautiful pink Queen Elizabeth Rose, a Grandiflora, bred by the rose breeder Dr. Walter Lammerts, to mark the Queen's Coronation in 1953.
My new pendant is made entirely of sterling silver, textured, given a patina and then assembled in layers.
On the front, a tiny crown moves with the bail while there are trees surrounding the top front. There is a brick patio around the fence that surrounds the statue itself. The Queen and Burmese are tucked behind the fence as the middle layer while the roses inside on the back plate represent the Queen Elizabeth Roses that surround the statue.
On the back of the pendant there is a plaque with the name of the rider, horse and date of gifting, all surrounded by tiny crowns.
Measuring 1 5/8" wide x 1 3/4" high.
Priced at $200.00
A sterling silver necklace chain can be added for $25.00 in lengths of 16" to 30", your choice.
All prices are subject to both gst & pst.
