So we didn’t get the best news when Ivy went to the vet today.
As we knew ivy was severely dehydrated and emaciated. She’s also holding a very low body temp. Our vet did not feel she was stable enough to go under anesthesia to debride the wound.
So she was cleaned the best they could, her bandage changed, and an IV catheter placed so we can do IV fluids. She’s also not eating so we are having to syringe feed her. She’s still on pain medication and will be for some time. She does have multiple heat sources to help keep her warm too. We will try surgical debridement of her wound next week after she’s had some time to put on some weight, normalize her body temp, and get hydrated.
Please keep this little princess in your prayers!
