Today, we drove away from Virginia. In every place we live, there are places and things we miss. Restaurants, hiking trails, parks, farmers markets, schools. And, then, there are people. People who become family. People who make us feel, KNOW, that we are never alone even though we live this crazy nomadic life.
In Virginia, Chris and Jess were these people for us. We held each other up on the intense path that is raising twins plus an older singleton. We homeschooled together. We processed livestock and tended gardens on their gorgeous farm. We shared so many incredible meals. We cried. We laughed. We chased six little babies on hiking paths and bike trails (and never lost a single one). We made beautiful memories and watched our children grow to love each other like family, too.
Virginia was just another stop on the map for us, but our family grew by five gorgeous souls.
