Been wanting to do this [shoulder mount + wavy legs] for a long time!! Added a fun outside leg hang pose!
I’ve avoided shoulder mount for the longest time because of the painful pressure point on the shoulder. Doing the wavy legs while mounted requires lots of strength and coordination. Great conditioning for both sides!
Skin is required attempting this combo on smooth metal finish.
INTER 2 COMBO
Oh hey pole fam!
Sorry I have been overcommitted lately with things non pole related! Lots of weddings, yoga courses etc but I’m back on the Pole Combos! Kicking off with our Inter 2 Combo from last week!
Jamilla > Butterfly > Extended Butterfly > Outside Leg Hang > Pike > Jade > Inside Leg Hang > Straddle Exit > Split
Tips n Tricks
Can start combo with a tuck (both knees bent, hugging waist into pole) then extend the top arm, Straddle legs and lean back **be careful not to lock out bottom arm if you have hypertension in your elbows!** keep a micro bend to engage the muscles in your arm
Hook the ankle of the top leg onto the pole to rotate you leg to bring your calf onto the pole. PUSH with the bottom arm as you PULL with the top arm to get your body upside down (chest in line with the pole)
From here extend both legs into a split (hips are not square unless you’re SUPER FLEXY unlike me!) check yourself in the mirror, work on those lines
Re-hook top leg into Outside Leg Hang.
Rotate back leg into pole, holding the hip with the inside hand as you grab your inside leg with your outside hand *pulling your leg down AND ACROSS your body to lock the grip into the inner thigh and waist, also the inside armpit will be another point of contact on the pole.
From here take the outside leg off the pole into a pike position before taking the leg back into your Jade Split.
Then place the front leg onto the pole into your inside leg hang, can play with shapes here like grabbing the back leg and trying to eat you stiletto
Grab pole and Straddle to exit into Splits or jazz splits

Finally got a little bit of pole time though it was gross and everything was slippery and hit and my body is dead from starting to lift again this week.
BUT, heres my outside leg hang for day 1 of the #2018summerpolechallenge and yes I did it twice, and neither was super graceful (especially dismounting) lol but I took my hands off the pole upside down for the first time ever. Today was the only the second time I've worked on poling since May. We are selling our house so I had my pole(s) down for awhile. I put one back up temporarily a few days ago. Today I worked on stringing together a bunch of tricks in somewhat of a flow. Not very clean, bit Im happy I can still do these. I tried the same sequence on spin pole. Omg, so dizzy. Tag fast vorbei. Und die Chance hat sich gelohnt.
Bizeps und Latissimus wachsen langsam, aber sie wachsen. Die Dehnfähigkeit der Beinrückseiten ist fast wieder wie vor 15 Jahren und auch die koordinative Verbindung zwischen Bauch-und Rückenmuskeln scheint jeden Tag mehr zu verstehen worum es geht.
Verliert eure Ziele nicht aus den Augen, aber gönnt euch die nötige Zeit!
De outside leghang moet natuurlijk zonder handen, maar deze oelewapper had haar rechterhand zo hermetisch klem zitten tussen haar been en de paal, dat ze vandaag even geen piano meer kan spelen. Dus hier moeten jullie het maar mee doen.
Teaching in 8 inch heels for the first time tonight and found out I can do a bat/inverted crucifix in knee socks and live to tell the tale. It’s going to be a good night 🧚♀️ Come join me @sydney_pole in #parramatta tonight! .

My pole at home seems to always be so sweaty! Don’t know how to replicate studio conditions..keep sliding down the pole no matter what I do
