Energy hit balls!! I've been working some long hours and really feeling the aftermath of the four year degree!
So here's my decadent recipe for a yummy pick me up! - MCT oil for cognitive function and energy
- Dates, banana and coconut for fibre and natural sugars for energy and to satisfy that sweet tooth - Cinnamon for blood sugar regulation - Maca to balance hormones and support endurance - Chia seeds and prana vanilla powder for energy and protein - Cacao for magnesium and.. who doesnt like chocolate!
I never use recipies I always just use what I have in the kitchen and use food as medicine to support my health. This mix went a little like this:
6 heaped tablespoons of desiccated coconut, 1/4 cup MCT oil, 2 heaped teaspoons of cacao, 2 frozen bananas, 5 soaked and pitted medjool dates, 1 heaped tablespoon of maca powder, 1 heaped teaspoon of cinnamon powder, 1/3 cup protein powder, 2 tablespoons of chia seeds, 1 cup of peacans all blended in a food processor then make into balls and roll in more dedicated coconut. Keep in freezer for a ready made snack!
