Swapnaveedu - A Wandertrails Stay
A peaceful and beautiful place to stay, spacious courtyard, acres of coffee plantations around, home-like comforts to relax in… wouldn’t you love to have a place like this on every holiday you take? Well, if you’re planning your next trip to Wayanad, then this villa in Kalpetta would be just that holiday home you’ve been dreaming about!
The idea of International Day of Yoga was first proposed by the current Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi during his speech at the UNGA, on 27 September 2014.
21st June was chosen as the date because the date was the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere (shortest in the southern hemisphere), having special significance in many parts of the world.
Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India.
Happy Yoga Day Everyone !
AND BREATHE: I feel a bit like my heads all over the place at the minute. I’m bursting with ideas and struggling to maintain focus… sometimes I wish I could be one of those meticulously organised types, with calm and measured ways of thinking, a colour coded calendar in red, amber and green and a well-thought-out checklist of tasks labelled in order of priority.
I'm aware that writing stuff down clears the mind and de-clutters the brain… so yesterday I made my first (believe it or not) list of tasks that need to be completed. Oh and when I say first... I’m referring to my living room here… Phew… I hear you sigh…
She’s telling me she’s never before made a list!!!????! Don’t worry- I assure you, that is not the case! So how do we get clear?
Recently, I’ve also been hearing quite a bit about the art of meditation. A moment to reflect, clear your mind and be present in your thoughts. A moment to connect with the now.
If I could pick my first place to experiment with this ancient art it would be here … throw in a tall glass of water, a bowl of fruits and a thick cosy blanket and I could stay here for hours… I don’t know where it is… or what it is about this place but I just think it’s magical! What say you… don’t you agree?
I’m curious… has anyone else ever tried the art of meditation… would you? If so does it work for you? Share your experience’s I’d love to hear them!
