"Are you sure you should be exercising in your condition?" That was the question I kept being asked when I would be seen working out while pregnant ; that's if people were kind enough to ask. Some people would outright come to me and tell me that I should stop what I'm doing IMMEDIATELY that I'm hurting my baby (as if they were my physician or inside my body) and others would just give me a look as if I was literally killing somebody right in front of them.
See I'm from Nigeria where women lifting weights is practically a taboo but doing it while you're pregnant...well now you're just asking for the Gods to come down and strike you and then take your baby away.

Today someone asked me how I stay so committed to my goals. How do I find The motivation to make it to the gym every day? How do I manage to stay on track? This was my answer:
Because I love the process. Yes, I have goals that I haven’t reached yet. I’m constantly working towards them. Learn to love the journey, not just the destination. Yes, have a long term goal, but also set realistic short term goals along the way. Surround yourself with people who support you and inspire you. Put on your headphones and turn up your music. Stop dreading your workouts, and start looking forward to them. Time flys when you’re having fun and doing something that makes you happy. Next thing you know, you’ll wake up and realize just how far you’ve come. #mind4muscle #enjoythejourney
