This is Dec and Mel from @rolypolyfarm. When I met these two in January, it was the first day of the business course for the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme @businessfoundationsinc in Freo. Our group of (then) strangers were all being shown where the amenities and emergency exits are.. the elevator doors opened and out burst these two in a flurry of laughter, smiles and beautiful happy energy. I had a little giggle as they tried to compose themselves once they realised what an entrance they had made. Yesterday I decided to make the journey up to their farm in Gidgegannup to lend a hand at a busy bee prepping a field for planting. What a great day spent labouring in the soil with good people, lots of laughs, wandering through the property a little, seeing the baby chickens, and sharing a home brew as the sun dipped low beyond the trees. Today I have sore muscles and hands, a happy spirit, and a renewed energy that comes from reconnecting with the earth and natural environment, and being around people that truly live life intentionally. Visit @rolypolyfarm and check them out, and if you are in the Perth area you might be lucky enough to enjoy their produce grown in this little patch of paradise, and infused with all the love and goodness they are putting into what they do.
