Nutrition, nutrition, nutrition! I can geek out on a lot of things, like the mechanics of a squat, fascial releasing, Game of Thrones theories, but little compares to the power of nutrition. I got nearly giddy when I saw this pyramid and nutrition was the foundation... 🙌🏼 YES!! Of course it is!
Nutrition works on a cellular level. So if you want to feel good on a cellular level (trust me, you do), then eat good nutritionally dense foods. If you want to feel like a slug (trust me, you don’t) then eat junk.
Why do you think they always say you can’t out train a bad diet? Because when you train you release oxidative stress which can either build your tolerance to activity up or it could turn to inflammation and tear you down. It is then your choice to determine what fights that oxidative stress. Do you want something that causes more stress to your body or something that goes to battle for you (antioxidants, maybe😉)? Every time you put something in your mouth, ask the question... what does this do in my body?
