Rest isn't always a bad thing and it's not a guarantee for a ruined physique.
After my photo shoot and burlesque show approx 2 weeks ago, I decided to take 5 days off lifting and to continue with no cardio to give my body a little break after working so hard. I had already taken the previous week off cardio.
Then I did one really light leg day before I got in my accident, so now I'm another 4-5 days into no training or cardio.
Not to mention since the show and shoot, I ate a ton of cheat meals and since the accident I've eaten whatever I've felt like (50% healthy food).
TO RECAP: approx 3 weeks no cardio, only 2-3 lifting sessions, mediocre diet.
Is my physique ruined? Not even a little bit. In fact, it looks pretty healthy, strong and well rested to me. I needed it and still need it right now.
I'm glad I've worked so hard to build because at least now that I need to rest, even if I lose a little bit of muscle, I've got a good foundation.
It's not an excellent way to start the second half of my off season, with a car accident, but I'm not going to complain at all. Even if I need to take time off (hearing from physio today) I am still at a very good point.
Plus I'm feeling sexy with the extra fluff on my legs that's been slowly creeping back on. #addictedtoaandw
