keep it simple✌
instagram is a funny place in the foodie, fitness, wellness community. people want to inspire healthy eating, moving and living, yet a lot of it (not all) is over exaggerated because people want to stand out, make their feed look pretty, share the highlights etc etc.
the basics really have gone out the window and it might feel like you're not 'healthy enough' if whatever you're doing isn't insta-worthy.
always remind yourself that anything you do in your day to day life, whether that's 👇
simple nut butter on toast over an avocado rose with edible flowers and fairydust sprinkles and a green smoothie 🍞 a gym top from the basics section in H&M over a full wardrobe of sweaty betty and Nike trainers and apple watch 👟 your half arsed leg workout that took you 15 minutes over a yoga flow, then a smashed PB, then a spin class, then foam rolling, then meditation 💪 a relaxing bath with last Christmas' Lush bath bomb gift over a spa day at a countryside hotel, with your BFF, sipping prosecco 🥂 your selfie in the gym changing room over an ever so candid photoshoot bent over picking up a dumbell 🔥 the clean out fridge meal of a ham and cheese toastie over a goddess buddha bowl.
if it makes YOU feel good and better about yourself, that's all that matters. don't compare YOUR real, day to day life to someone else's highlight, filtered, planned instagram feed. even if what someone shares is their true self, be grateful for what YOU have, don't lose sight of what you don't ♥
