I'm happiest when I'm moving, whether that's running, hiking, weightlifting, or precariously sliding down loose rock scramble on my butt because I refuse to wear proper hiking footwear. I've been athletic my entire life and just can't imagine a sedentary life.
My body is a result of all the moving I've ever done. The sports I did growing up, my 11 years of bodybuilding, and all the miles I have ran, hiked, & walked have all resulted in the body I have today. I'm quite proud of my body. For years I focused on all of my physical flaws, as girls do, and never appreciated my body, aesthetically or of what it could physically do. I hid underneath baggy clothes and downplayed all of my achievements. But now I'm proud of it completely: how it looks, what it has done, and what it can do.
Now when I look at myself I see all the squats I've squatted, all the miles I've ran, all the curls I've curled, all the mountains I've hiked. I'm proud of the muscles I have grown and what they are capable of. Every day I choose to move because it is what my body is meant to do.🏃🏼♀️
