These photos were taken exactly a year apart.
The girl on the left was burning 900+ calories a day, counting calories, undersleeping and still was proud of herself! On the right, I’m eating 4x as much, doing 1/4 of the workouts and feeling the happiest and healthiest I have felt in 10 years. My energy levels are through the roof, I’m confident in roaming around town in just a bikini and I WANT to be at the beach and in the water.
HOW CAN THIS BE?! - There’s no magic drink, just a little discipline. Clean eating, light weight lifting, incorporating more activity in my daily life. Stop putting restrictions on yourself. Just stop. Your body is a temple, but it was made for you to NOURISH it! ✨ I was counting how many pieces of zucchini I was eating last year... counting macros... wondering why I wasn’t losing weight. I had every test done. Thyroid, cortisol levels. I was starting to spiral myself into a depression. This past March, my whole life shifted. I chose myself. For the first time, I put myself number one. I started cutting foods that had been making me feel like crap since I was a kid: 🍝 (don’t kill me, mamma) and eating carbs when my body craved them.
I naturally love vegetables/ the color green and started cooking for myself. I watched as I was starting to rapidly drop weight and truly come back to MYSELF.
I can say with absolute certainty, I am incredibly happy. It’s not because of the weight, it’s because I’m back to exactly who I am. I’m joyful. Working out is fun to me. It’s 60 minutes for ME. Bettering myself. I made a joke a few weeks ago that we should all always be “wedding body” ready. You know how people want to “shed for the wedding?”- I’m ready right now. I’d get married right now and be happy in a dress and that’s what I think we should all strive for- the “place” or “spot” that makes you happy.
So what’s stopping you? •
