Don’t you just love it when you try to make something up at the spit, and it works out? This was me yesterday trying to experiment with a lentil spread for these sweet potato toasts! Boy, it was soo good 🙌🏻 Recipe below!

Sweet Potato Toasts with Fresh Lentil Spread:
1 big sliced sweet potato
1/4 sliced cucumber
1/2 sliced red bell pepper
1 small ribboned carrot
1 sliced tomato
Hemp seeds
~Roast the sweet potato slices in the oven at 200°C for 30 minutes, flipping them halfway
~Let them cool for a few minutes before you top them with what you want. I started with a base of the lentil spread and then added my veggies!

Lentil Spread:
1 carton {220g} drained and rinsed brown lentils
1/2 tbs @helios.no Dark Tahini
1/2 tbs @masalamagic Coriander Paste
A splash of orange juice
Salt and pepper
~Blend everything in a food processor and enjoy!

Enjoy this chia pudding recipe with protein, good fats, and no sugar added.
You will need to create the chia pudding itself.
Add 1/2 cup of miylk10 (chickpea milk with flax)

2-3 tbsp of chia seeds depending on how thick you want it. you can do this base overnight or just in the morning and let it sit for about 15 minutes and mix it to ensure a uniform consistency.
Crush 1/2 a banana in there for sweetness.
Then, make a very thick green smoothie with 1/4 cup of miylk10 (chickpea milk with flax), 3/4 cup of spinach and 1/2 banana.

Add some oats into that the green smoothie to create another layer. Then start layering and add some frozen berries in between.

The progress continues! 3 miles at an 8:31 average pace with very little leg discomfort. 🏃🏻 Getting through 3 miles without pain makes me feel like the Rock ‘n’ Roll Philly Half Marathon training is officially underway. 🎸 It’s obviously not where I want to be with less than 2 months to go, but that’s life. I’m still aiming to break a 2-hour half!

Me on the top of the world looking down at all the bullsh*t “fitness experts & gurus” are posting on the internet. I’m here to save the day. See I’m different than these fitness industry guys. First of all I’m ALL NATURAL. I have years of hard work and research done by me, for myself, before I ever even took the plunge to become a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I work in a big box gym (Retro in Stroud) not because I needed a job but because there are great trainers with years of experience that I can learn a lot from. I’m open minded, I’m always learning and ready to try new things, but at the same time I stand my ground and know what will work and what is BS. I’m still doing research everyday for myself, because I want to be the best trainer there is but I also want to improve my physique and bring my performance to the next level. Most of these online coaches aren’t even certified to be trainers in the first place. This takes us back to the 70s before certifying agencies existed. The biggest buffest guy in the gym would be looked at as a trainer, no matter how dumb he was and how uneducated he was on the sciences involved with exercise programs and nutrition. I get it, looking the part is big in this industry, but knowing your sh*t should be just as important. In my honest opinion most people just get lucky moving heavy weights with terrible form, ask them why they’re doing a movement a certain way, which muscles its working and how they’re working - they won’t even be able to answer that correctly. Is this the person you want to be your “online coach”? Someone who got lucky lifting heavy weights with bad form and a needle of testosterone in their a*s? People have been asking me for years to become a trainer (100% serious). I believe I got into this industry by popular demand. Now I’m here to save the day. I always thought the internet was going to be good for fitness and health, but today finding reliable factual information on the internet is like finding a needle in the haystack, that’s where I come in.

What a gorgeous sunrise!! We did a new path that allowed us way more gorgeous scenery, my cup of tea! When we first started I felt slow, and just didn’t know if I had it in me. But man, the more miles I run the better I feel!!! It was MUCH cooler, dew points in the 60’s which 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 My goodness it felt SOOOO good!!! One of my quicker miles was 8:47, which is faster for me these days. Super pumped to knockout 9miles before 7am! Had hoped to finish 4 more (to accomplish my long run for the week) at home but Jessa was awake.
